Rotax Aircraft Engine Courses

2 Stroke Service, February 8 & 9, 2021

The 2 Stroke Maintenance course is designed for technicians. It covers service, line maintenance and heavy repair. Attendees will participate in the complete disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of a 503 DCDI, and 582UL engines learning the skills to perform overhauls on both air and water cooled 2 stroke Rotax aircraft engines.  Includes the Rotax Familiarization Course. There are no prerequisites.

9 Series Service, February 10 & 11, 2021

The 9 Series Service course is for technicians and owners that are more hands on with their aircraft. It covers the service and inspection requirements of a 100 hour/annual inspection on the Rotax 912UL/S, 914UL, 912iS, 915iS engine types. The Familiarisation Course is included in the Service Course.  There are no prerequisites to attend this course.

9 Series Maintenance, February 12 & 13, 2021

The 9 Series Maintenance course is for technicians and advanced owners. It focuses on the removal and replacement of components on the Rotax 912UL/S, 914UL, 912iS, 915iS engine types.  For instance, attendees will learn how to remove the gearbox, cylinder heads, cylinders, and pistons but not how to disassemble and inspect those components.  The idea is a maintenance rated tech could remove the parts to have them sent out for inspection and repair, then reinstall the serviceable part.  The 9 Series Service Course is a prerequisite of this course.

9 Series Heavy Maintenance, February 15, 16 & 17, 2021

9 Series Heavy Maintenance course is for technicians. It covers the repair of line item parts and advanced maintenance. For instance, attendees will learn how to disassemble, inspect, and repair the gearbox, cylinder heads, carburetors, and rotary seal.  This class certifies attendes to perform all levels of maintenance, short of splitting the crankcase.  The 9 Series Service, and 9 Series Maintenance ratings, with two years of experience are prerequisites of this course.
